I, too, worked every job there ever was. Restaurants, factory jobs, semi driving, delivery driving, morning shift, afternoon shift, evening shift, weekends, third shift, over time...... you know the routine.
.... to figure out how life worked. How to play the game, and then how to prosper in it. I spent about 20 years running that rat race trying to get ahead.
.... well, that's when I decided to show others how to do the same. That's what inspired me to conduct webinars to show others what I learned. My idea of success was living my life as I wanted to, with no boss breathing down my back, taking off whenever I wanted to and pretty much living my life in my own lane. Am I as wealthy as Oprah or Bill gates? Not hardly, but I do quite well for someone who never went to college. This is what I want to teach you how to do, such that you, too, no longer need to punch a time clock or listen to another boss complain that you're not doing enough.
Ok, listen up, people, because I'm about to spill the beans about life. You are going to want to listen and read very closely, because what I'm about to tell you is going to be the guiding light for the rest of your life. A lot of this stuff isn't going to be pretty, and you're not going to want to read or accept a lot of it.
It won't take too long to read, you might just learn a few things, and all of this is tied in to what I can teach you about delivering pizzas and increasing your tips.
Y'all ready?
First of all, forget everything you leaned in school. None of that has any bearing whatsoever in the real world, so you might as well erase all that from your hard drive to focus on the basic realities of life, which I am about to teach you.
From this point forward, stop counting on other people to make things work out for you. No one else can help you succeed. Your friends can't. Your boss can't. Your parents, co-workers or anyone else you know. None of them can help you because they, too, likely aren't in any position to help you. You're on your own. Also, since no one else can help you succeed, there is also no one else to blame if you don't succeed. Don't blame your friends or parents for not helping. Don't blame your employer because he drives to work in a nice brand new Cadillac Escalade while you drive your 15 year-old Honda. And for God's sakes don't blame Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Zuckerberg or any other other insanely wealthy people. It's not their fault you are in the position you're in, and it's not their responsibility to help you get out of the situation you're in.
The fact of the matter is that your boss cannot help you succeed in life. He is doing all he can to make sure HE is succeeding. And you working for him is part of his plan. He must pay you a wage or salary, but he will not pay you a dime more than he thinks you're worth, because, the truth is, he doesn't really need you. He knows he can fire you- or simply wait until you quit- and then hire someone else to replace you (and often at a salary less than what he was paying you). The only way your current job or employer can help you is to keep the money coming in until you CAN make it on your own.
Let's face it.... most employees flipping burgers are NOT WORTH $20 AN HOUR. Your boss' interest in you is to pay you the bear minimum he can get by paying you, and still keep the Dept of Labor off his back. In fact, the minimum wage was NEVER DESIGNED OR INTENDED TO BE A MEANS FOR YOU LIVE OFF OF. Read that sentence again. It was NEVER intended to be a means for you to earn enough to pay rent, a car payment, cell bill, food, insurance, food and all the rest. The whole point of a minimum wage is to set some form of starting point.
Read that subtitle again: "IT IS NOT YOUR EMPLOYERS' RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY YOU A LIVING WAGE!!!!" I know, I know, I've heard it a million times on the news and from everyone else on the planet: "But I cannot make it on $12 an hour at McDonald's!" Just look at what's going on in California. You see, the law out there states that in some areas, some fast food joints MUST pay at least $20 an hour. Now, I know that all sounds real nice and pretty, but, you're missing the bigger picture. You see, no where anywhere on the planet does it say that employers MUST hire people. Get this through your heads real quick that the more money you demand from your employer because you "think" you're worth more is just further convincing the owner to replace you with a machine. Fast food joints now are using kiosks in the lobby and apps on your phone so customers can place their OWN orders. There are machines in the drive through that make the drinks. These machines are businesses' responses to the changing economic climate. They are responding to the insane demands that governments are placing on them as far as wages and, instead, opting for machines and apps. So as local governments pass laws increasing the minimum wage, businesses can always respond in ways that will make the new laws negligible, such as replacing employees with machines. What good does it do when a government passes a law mandating a $25 minimum wage, for example, if it forces all the businesses to leave, close down or replace employees with machines?
And, further, not only is there no law that employers MUST hire people (when now machines and apps can do some of the work), there is also no law that says employers MUST REMAIN IN THE U.S. If you don't know by now, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of good-paying jobs left the country to Mexico, China and the Philippines because people in those countries would work for 50 cents an hour while here in the US employees were demanding $15 and $20 an hour. So local and state governments raised minimum wages, and these manufacturers fled to China and Mexico. I bet you didn't hear that on the news!
You see, politicians like to pound their chests and say they are "for the working man" by passing strict laws that govern how much employers must pay you and so forth. That makes the politicians look good on TV. The problem is that businesses respond in ways that circumnavigate the law. Businesses will ALWAYS do something to react to every government regulation. Sometimes that response is to close up and move to another state, or to another country where the laws and restrictions aren't nearly as cumbersome.
Why do you think every single thing you buy at Wal-Mart has "Made in China" stamped on it? That's because businesses found out decades ago it's far cheaper to pay someone in China a couple pennies an hour than it is to pay an American worker $15 an hour, plus all the insane regulatory controls the EPA, the DOL and IRS place on them.
Because the person on the TV telling you the "news" is little more than an idiot sitting in front of a TV camera. That person likely has NEVER owned or operated a business EVER, and likely has absolutely no clue what he is talking about. The whole point of the minimum wage, as I stated before, is just to provide some starting point, so that the employer can't take advantage of you.
The real goal of the minimum wage is to force you to do things on your own to get ahead. That's the whole point. That's why it's kept so low. Everyone knows it's low, and not enough to live on unless you have four roommates and live on rice and beans and Pop Tarts.
THE WHOLE POINT OF THE MINIMUM WAGE IS TO MAKE LIFE JUST BARELY LIVEABLE TO FORCE YOU TO WANT TO DO SOMETHING TO GET YOURSELF AHEAD ON YOUR OWN. That is probably the most important sentence on this website. You see, society doesn't want to just hand you stuff for free. Society wants you to work for it. But society also knows that most people are lazy. Most people will just continue their lives living off of minimum wage jobs all their life, complaining their entire lives that they can't get ahead or that their jobs don't pay them enough. It's always someone else's fault why they can't get ahead.
Because they want you to want to strive for more, and to work and work to work yourself up that ladder and achieve more than the minimum wage could ever pay you.
The people that strive for more are the people who think outside the box and have that dream to succeed. These are the very same people who work harder, put in more hours at work to earn more, to work their way up the ladder.
That cell phone in your pocket..... do you think that was invented by someone living on the minimum wage somewhere? Or someone with a dream to succeed, who learned all he could about cell phones and decided to strike out on his own and grab that opportunity for success?
Since it is not your employers' job to pay you a wage you can live on, your choice are to a) reduce your expenses such that you CAN live on the wage he pays you, b) get a 2nd part time to to earn extra money, c) get some type of higher education or some form of instruction to earn more money, d) win the lottery, e) find a roommate to help split the cost, or f) try your had a singing career like Taylor Swift.
I know, but, hey, I didn't write the rules. As I told you at the beginning, I am telling you all this because either no one else will (your friends or family), or you are being lied to and manipulated (the news media). Option (a) is one most people won't choose unless forced to. Option (b), same thing. Options (d) and (f) are long shots. Option (e) is a possibility, until your roommate walks out with all the rent money leaving you hanging. That leaves us with option (c), which leads you to the webinars I conduct (more about those on the next page).
If you are making any amount more than what the law says he must pay you, then your employer has probably got it in the back of his mind somewhere how much money he can be saving when you quit so he can replace you with someone who will do your job for less than you will. So, if you and your boss have a disagreement and you threaten to quit.... that might just be what he wants to hear.
So, in the last paragraph we pretty much determined that your boss can do without you. But before you up and quit, do not think that you will simply walk down to the business down the street and expect it to be any better. As my dad used to say, "Same shit, different day," when asked how he was doing. The next place you land a job will be the same shit, different place.
Like I said, I'm telling you because it's the sad truth about the way the world works. You are but a small, insignificant little piece in a bigger, mammoth moving wheel. No one else will tell you this. Your friends won't because chances are, they're just as clueless as you are. Your parents won't (or didn't), because chances are they, too, never learned to think outside the box and how to prosper in this economy. To succeed, you must climb that ladder to success yourself.
Well, first, go back to the first paragraph where I said your success in their world depends only upon you. YOU have to have the desire, mentality and fortitude to punch through the concrete wall society has you caged within. YOU are going to have to adapt the mindset that you are going to succeed.... no matter how long it takes you or how many shitty jobs you have to work.
Unless you are independently wealthy like Elon Musk, or plan to win the lottery soon (you won't), or have some trust or windfall from the death of a wealthy relative, YOUR ONLY OPTION IS TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX AND FIND A WAY TO GET AHEAD ON YOUR OWN.
I was just like you, as I said. Years ago, I was right where you are. I felt trapped working in dead-end jobs that I hated, with no chance of success. No way forward. I hadn't yet learned how to think outside the box.
Because I am going to teach you how to think outside the box while delivering pizzas, and increasing your tips. My webinars show you HOW TO DO WHAT YOU'RE NOT YET DOING, which is thinking outside the box. Sure, any monkey can be trained to walk up the sidewalk and hand a pizza box to a customer. Do you want to be that monkey? Are you smarter than a monkey?
I know is sounds silly to say, that delivering pizzas can be your path to success. Read closely as to how I phrased that last sentence. I used the word "path". This is because what I will teach you, you will use later on in life to get ahead. I never said I expected you to be a pizza delivery driver all your life! No, you are going to us what I teach you in my webinars as a springboard to do all the things I mention here on this website. You are going to learn to think outside the box and then spread your wings and fly solo on your own.
Now, if you are happy with being a pizza delivery driver, that's perfectly fine. I hope my webinar will help you achieve whatever level of success you can achieve. But if your goal is move beyond delivering pizzas, well, then you're in for a big surprise and are going to want to tune in to my webinar and pay keen attention to the last chapter, which is what you can do with what I teach you to strike out on your own (in other words, be your own boss).
